Life Untold..
Abortion one of the biggest arguments in America, should it be illegal or legal as it is now? Well my vies on abortion, should be illegal. Psalm 139:13 says “for you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb.” So therefore why would anyone in their right mind kill an unborn child? There are so many couples that would love to adopt a child of two, but how can anyone adopt a child when 1,200,000 children are aborted a year? Just think how would you like it if your mother had aborted you?
Psalm 82:3 says “defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.” Unborn children are weak, they do not get the choice whether or not their mother decides to abort them now do they? No they do not the mother decides that! People need to start thinking, instead of just doing as most people do now and try to get the easiest way out of anything and everything! I mean do the math 40% of all women who have an abortion will have at least two more, that’s 36,000,00 children dying from abortion every three years!

I was just 15 in my 10th grade year of high school. I was sitting in my favorite class of the day Chemistry, when over the loud speaker the office secretary said
“Kristi Ann Musko please report to the office ready to go home” So my teacher said
“Go get your things and than head back here and I will give you the homework for tonight and tomorrow just in case your not here ok?”
I got up and left the class wondering why I had to leave. I loved school and did not have a doctors appointment as far as I knew! As I got to my locker I heard again them call for me again this time it sounded urgent so I grabbed my bag, coat, geometry and English books and ran back to the science lab. My teacher had all my work ready I grabbed it and ran to the office. Once I got to the office one of the secretary’s handed me the phone and said “Its your aunt Jill” I took the phone and said “hello aunt Jill what’s wrong”
She said “its your mother she got in a car accident and is not responding to anyone!” I could not move let alone speak I just dropped the phone and ran out of the office crying harder than I have ever cried before!
I ran out the front doors of the school and sat there on the cold, hard bench outside of my school building. My eyes so filled with tears, I trembled with sadness, balling that sounded of an alarm going on and on. I struggled to catch my breath but it was like trying to ice skate on a lake not yet frozen. All I wanted to know was why I had to receive that horrendous phone call? I looked back at the main school doors to see if anyone was coming I saw my best friend Catharine, Charlie for short running right towards me. I tried to catch my breath to tell her what was going on but I could not as she sat on the bench next to me she asked me if I wanted to talk? I told her no I just wanted to cry so she grabbed me in the biggest hug and just held me tightly! After about twenty minuets my uncle pulled up in his red truck. He got out and walked over to where Charlie and I were sitting. He gave me a hug and said he was here to pick me up and if I wanted he would sign out me and Charlie and she could stay with me! So he went in to the office and called Charlie’s mom and asked she said yes, so he signed us out and we left. First he went to grab us some food since we had missed lunch than he took us to the hospital where my mom was! The whole way there I was crying and Charlie was trying to comfort me as best as she could. When we arrived I did not want to go in and see my mom when she could not talk and was in a coma I did not think I could do it but my uncle said I could, so we went in! When I saw my mom I cried even harder than before she was hooked up to all these wires and tubes and was not breathing on her own it was so hard to see her like this and the whole time Charlie never left my side! After about 30min of sitting next to my moms hospital bed I had to leave I just could not stay any longer it was making things worse, so me and Charlie went out to where my aunt and uncle were and I asked if we could go? They said yes and my uncle, Charlie, and I left. My aunt stayed to be with my mom. My uncle took us to his house we stayed there since my dad was still out of state and on his way but he still would not make it back till the morning! I laid awake for hours I don’t even think I got any sleep at all that night, and of course Charlie stayed awake with me.The whole night I was just praying and asking God why this had to happen? I was worried all night not knowing what to do. It was about 7am when my cell phone rang it was my dad I answered and he said he was crossing the border to Michigan in a few minutes and would be here in about 5 hours, he also asked if we had heard from aunt Jill and sadly i had to say no! Charlie left the room for a few minutes and than came back and told me my uncle had left to get chocolate and mountain dew to cheer me up and of course those two words are the best things ever and with your best friend my goodness its amazing! After he got back we left to visit my mom she was still in a coma and not breathing on her own this time we stayed for a few hours just waiting after about two hours of sitting next to my mommy the doctor came in and said “I’m not sure how much longer she’s going to live!” I stopped dead in my tracks I did not say a word I could not cry, I ran out of the room with Charlie close behind me! That was the worst thing I had ever head and I did not know what to do! My cell phone rang and it was Jade, I did not want to talk to her she was so sweet and had to of heard something and I could defiantly not talk to her right now so I made Charlie answer my phone! Jade asked why the two of us had not been in school so Charlie walked out of the room to explain it to her! As Charlie came back in tears filled her eyes and this was the first time since Friday morning when I told her what was wrong. I asked what was wrong she said that everything that had happened has finally hit her and hit her hard! We both cried and cried for a few hours we just sat there on the edge of my bed. Until my cell rang it was my dad, he was calling to tell me he was at the hospital with my mom and wanted me to come up there as soon as I could! So I called Charlie’s mom and asked if she could come pick us up and take us to the hospital she said yes and was on her way! We got ready to go and left as soon as she got there. We walked in to the hospital and up to the 7th floor where my mom was, I saw my dad in the hall crying he could not talk and could not move I ran all the way down the hall and hugged him he told me to go in by my mother so I did as I was told. As I walked in my mothers room she had even more tubes and wires than she had the night before and was defiantly not breathing on her own not even a little bit! I dropped to my knees and cried Charlie ran in the room as fast as she could and grabbed me in the biggest hug as we just sat there crying! You see me and Charlie have been friends since the 1st grade we were in the same class and ever since than we have been best of friends, we both love the same things, neither of us play sports but are very energetic and did I mention we love God and believe in Him with all of our existence! So one thing we knew for sure was we had to ask God for peace and to comfort us in our times of trials! So I grabbed my Bible out of my purse and I asked God to show me a verse that could bring me peace and know that everything happens for His good and perfect will, I opened my Bible to John 14:2-4 John 14:2-4 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” Which is one of my favorite verses ever I read it and than closed my Bible! I sat there on the floor of my mothers room for what seemed like hours till my aunt Jill came in a tapped me on the shoulder. She grabbed me in a hug and we walked out of the room. For the next week I did not leave my room my uncle brought me food and Charlie stayed with me, her mom let her stay and not go to school. Her mom called to tell the school what was going on so we both had excused absences! About 2 weeks after the doctor told me he did not think my mother was going to live much longer I got a call on my cell phone from my dad he said in a very choked up voice“ honey…I just got word from the doctor and he said you mother is not expected to live longer than tonight”
“Kristi Ann Musko please report to the office ready to go home” So my teacher said

I was 17 years old, that day my life being to fall to a million pieces all over again, right before my eyes. I was sitting in Math class, all ready to start my assignment, when I heard over the loud speaker “Lillian Hoskins please report to the main office ready to leave right away!” My teacher looked at me and I grabbed my books and walked out of the class, walked down a few halls to my locker put some things into my backpack and grabbed my coat. I got to the office to see my mother sitting there in a chair, with swollen, blood shot eyes, giving the appearance that something was way wrong, because my mother never cried, in fact, in all 16 years of my life I had only ever seen my mother cry once. I went over to her and asked what was going on; she said she would tell me in the car. She signed me out and we left. As soon as we got to the car my mother said to me “Lillian..Your grandfather has been in a terrible car accident, they are giving him about 24 hours, they don’t even know if he will make it through the night.” Hearing that one sentence ruined my life. I was so close to my grandfather, we did everything together, he was like my father. Because my father died when I was 10 years old, that was the day I first saw my mother cry. I lost it, I cried, harder than I’d ever cried before. I was lost in my own thoughts I did not know what to do, so instead of crying some more, I took my cell phone out of my purse and dialed my best friend Jimmy’s cell phone number, although I knew he was still in Math class, I knew he would answer, because I never left school, unless something was really wrong. He answered his phone and I could hear the teacher in the background asking him why he was using his cell phone, he asked if he could go to the hall for just a few minutes than he could explain, it was Okayed and he said “Lillian? What’s going on? Is everything okay?” I just cried, and told him what I had been told. He sat there on the other line in silence. Then I heard a door open and him say to his teacher “Mr. Smith, it is Lillian on the phone, her grandfather got into a very bad car accident and is not expected to live for more than 24 hours at the most. She is hysterical, since I drive myself to school, would it be allowed for me to call and ask my mother if I could leave school right now and meet Lillian at the hospital to comfort her.” Mr. Smith said that would be perfectly fine, and Jimmy said to me that he would meet me at the hospital in 15mins. We hung up the phone and I continued to cry. My mother and I arrived at the hospital and walked up to the third floor and asked which room my grandfather was in, they told us he was in room 34 on the 7th floor, we about ran there and I left a message on Jimmy’s phone telling him what room and floor. When we walked into the room, there lay my grandfather, slightly limp, bruised and scared, a cast on his left leg, and a breathing tube in his nose, and a white bandage on his head. I stood there in shock and scared for my grandfather. My mother went over and knelt down by the bedside and held her father’s hand, she was not sure at all of what to say or do. That was the second time she had sat by the bedside of a man in her life who she dearly loved, the first time her husband this time her father. If I could only tell her something to comfort her, I was in the same position in my eyes, I lost my father when I was just 10 years old, now my grandfather, both men that meant everything to me. I was not standing there longer than 10 minutes before Jimmy came running in the room, he grabbed me in a hug and I buried my face in his shoulder and cried, harder than I had before. I expected him to let me go, you know when you hug someone and eventually one person lets go, well he did not, he just held me as tight as he could, that’s a true friend in my eyes. A half hour or so passed before I realized he was crying too, it had never come to my realization before now, that Jimmy was just as close to my grandfather as me, so this hit him just as hard as it hit me. My mother asked Jimmy if he would drive me home, so I could get something to eat, shower, and just chill out, because she figured it was going to be harder if I stayed there, instead of being in the comfort of my own home. Jimmy said yeah, and we left. We got to his car and he asked if I wanted to go home or if he wanted him to take me somewhere to get my mind off everything, I said that was good. And he drove, for a long time, just driving and he turned on my favorite CD and sung with me, even though he had a horrible voice, it made me laugh, well the little laugh anyone would laugh if they had that situation. He pulled onto a long driveway and I could not see what was at the end, when we reached the end, there was a building and it came to me, this is where we met, where our friendship began to unfold and our journey as best friends began. We got out and he asked if this was an okay place to bring me, I shook my head vigorously and we walked in. Nothing had changed in this little in-home restaurant owned by the librarian of our school and her family, this place was so homey, everyone was incredibly friendly, and remembered us right away the owner Mrs. Rose, said as soon as we sat down “Jimmy? Lillian? Oh my goodness how you two have grown! And you met her in my restaurant 8 years ago, little 9 year olds and your 17 now! Wow!” We smiled and shook our heads, Jimmy said “Yeah, Jimmy and Lillian, best friends for life! We are here because Lillian’s grandfather is in the hospital, so I’m trying to keep her mind off everything” “Wow, what an amazing friend you are Jimmy” Said Mrs. Rose. She then proceeded to ask us what we would like to eat, and we ordered our favorite chicken strips with a side of French fries. That’s what we always got, any place we went. We got our food and were having a conversation with Mrs. Rose’s daughters Jenifer and Misty, when my cell phone rang, it was my mother, she was calling to tell me that they were giving my grandfather 72 hours instead of 24 hours because he was doing slightly better, but not well enough. I hung up the phone and told Jimmy. We finished off our food, said goodbye and headed back to the hospital, I felt I needed to be with my grandfather during this time. We drove and drove, stopping at my house on the way there, so I could change into a pair of sweats, to stay comfortable. We got there and walked solemnly up to his room, and when we walked in, he was sitting up speaking with my mother, Jimmy and I burst into slight smiles, as we ran to his bedside, but our smiles and joy faded when he said “Who are you?” I burst into tears, how my own grandfather could not know who I was. My mother explained to both of us that my grandfather had amnesia, and did not remember anything or anyone.

From a childhood friendship anything can spring!
Josilynn Kenner was born and raised in Marlboro, New Jersey. She has dark brown hair, almost light black, and dark brown eyes. She has 3 sisters, Jillian who was 16 years old, has dark brown eyes, and blonde hair. Jenna, who was 14 years old, has blonde hair and dark brown eyes. And Jenifer, who was 7 years old, has dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes. Her parents’ names are Joan and Joe. The Kenner family was different from other families in New Jersey, because her parents were missionaries. Her dad did the traveling during the school year, and her mom stayed in New Jersey with Josilynn and her sisters. But every summer, for as long as Josilynn could remember, her family packs up and travels to India, for the whole summer, to do missionary work. Josilynn loved India more than any other place in the world that she had ever been, and that’s a lot of places! Ever since she was little she would tell her mom “Mom I am going to move to India for real when I grow up!” and that passion just grew and grew every summer while she was there, and even during the school year while she was away. She longed to be in India while she was in school, while she was doing chores, while she was hanging out with her friends, every minute of the day; she wished she could be in India! But let’s not start making assumptions that she hated Jersey, she loved it there, she loved her church, her school and her friends she’s had since forever ago, and more than all the things she loved, she loved the Jersey shore! The hot Jersey sun was fantastic, the heat on her skin, and the cool water on her back. Can I elaborate anymore to explain how awesome Jersey was to her? I don’t think I really can. Sure, she had great friends, but none of them were her ‘best friends’. She wished that she could call just one of those girls she went to school with and had sleepovers with, her ‘best friend’, but none of them “made the cut”. Josilynn Kenner had just turned eleven, the gloomy October day that John Mates and his family moved into the house next door to her family. That day was the beginning of an amazing adventure and a truly wonderful friendship. She was very shy upon meeting him because, of course she did not like the fact that a boy was moving in. When her mother told her, a new family was moving in that house, she was highly excited, but found out they only had a boy, her age she flipped a lid! But come to think of it, not many eleven year old girls would have been happy about that. She loved dolls, and dancing, he loved monster trucks and playing in the mud. There was not anything they both liked to do, well besides climbing up in her tree fort and playing. That, was the one thing they both loved to do, and that alone, was enough to build a friendship off of at eleven! Every day the two would jump off the bus after school, and run to the tree fort and would do their homework up there together. Soon despite all of their major differences they became best of friends. Josilynn and John did everything together, riding bikes, playing house in her tree fort, playing tag in his yard, but out of everything they loved to do together, their Saturday night campouts in the tree fort, were the best ever! Josilynn and John would bring their sleeping bags, some left-over’s from dinner that night, some candy of course, some card games and of course their walkie-talkies, just in case they needed anything from their moms. Every day during the week, they looked forward to Saturday nights, but they knew if they did not have all of their homework done and their grades were not above Cs they could not have their campout. One night while Josilynn and John were camping out in the tree fort, they decided to make a pact and carve it into the tree fort wall. They both came up with part of it; they finally agreed that it would say “I Josilynn Kenner and I John Mates promise to be best friends forever, no matter what happens!” They then grabbed a piece of an old pen and carved just that into the left wall right in the middle, in big letters, so everyone who stepped foot into the tree fort, would see it, and know that Josilynn and John were best friends forever and ever! From that day forward John and Josilynn hung out every single day! There was not a time when someone asked Josilynn, where John was, because he as either with her, sleeping, or for some random reason not hanging out with her. The last day of their 6th grade year, was such a relief for both John and Josilynn. But only if everything that happened during those last few months could have left Josilynn’s thoughts, simply she wished everything would disappear from her mind. In the beginning of April, her granddad, got very sick with Highly Aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma- a cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes, which are part of the body's immune system. It’s usually curable, but unfortunately, Josilynn’s granddad was not as lucky as most, he passed in the beginning of May. Josilynn’s granddad’s passing, hit her very hard, because her granddad was everything to her, he was like a father because her father was gone doing missions work most of her life. So her granddad was there to fill that spot of a father in her life, he taught her to play baseball, taught her about integrity, how to life live. But most importantly he showed her who God was, and was the one who prayed with her when she accepted Christ as her Lord and savior. She tried to understand the reasons behind why her granddad had to die; she could not come up with even one. John tried his hardest to comfort her, but there was nothing he could say or do to make things any better. The first day of summer vacation John and Josilynn decided to throw a “Yay it’s finally summer vacation!” party. They invited everyone in their class, all of the kids on their block, and anyone else they could think of! They played give a little whistle, kick the can, capture the flag, ninja, swam in the Mate’s swimming pool and of course after it started getting dark, they had a bon fire! After the party was over and everyone left, John and Josilynn sat in the tree fort talking till one in the morning, the only reason they stopped talking and went inside their own homes, was because they’re moms texted them and said it was getting late and was time to head in. The next few weeks all John and Josilynn did, was hang out in John’s families pool during the day and in the evening sat in the tree fort and talked. This was an everyday ritual for the two of them. One month into summer vacation Josilynn and John we’re swimming in John’s pool when, Josilynn’s mom came out and told them she had something. They got out of the pool and sat on the patio, to listen to what her mom needed to tell them. Josilynn’s mom started talking about how both of their families were going to go to Noah’s Ark Water Park, two weekends from than! John and Josilynn were so excited, they about flipped out and went crazy! But they were able to control their excitement until Josilynn’s mom walked away, that’s when true excitement showed! Those next two weeks, all John and Josilynn talked about was their trip to Noah’s Ark. They told everyone they knew about it, and all the kids on the block were jealous and many of them begged their parents to take them. But of course none of their parents would.
Finally the night before leaving for Noah’s Ark came! Josilynn and John sat in the tree fort, all night long, of course because they were filled with such excitement they did not sleep at all! That next morning their moms came out at five in the morning telling them it was time to get their suitcases in the van and start driving. As soon as they were in the car, they both ended up falling asleep; of pure exhaustion. Their first stop was to get something to eat for breakfast, since they hit the road at five-thirty in the morning. As soon as they were back in the car; John and Josilynn decided to play a game, so they played I Spy for the next 3 hours. Then they took a slightly small rest. After that they ate lunch their mom’s packed. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, salt and vinegar chips, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and of course orange soda! The rest of that day, John and Josilynn just played random games, some made up and some real ones, but there was never a second where one of them was not talking. They finally stopped at a hotel for the night at one in the morning, everyone fell right asleep, no talking, no complaining, and no sounds from anyone, and as soon as heads hit their pillows they were out! The next morning was slower than the first; they ate the continental breakfast at the hotel, than Josilynn and John swam in the pool for about an hour. By the time they got back on the highway it was about 9am. By the end of the day they made it to the hotel that they would be staying a week in! But suddenly as Josilynn and John were running up the stairs to find their room before their moms, Josilynn slipped and fell down two flights of stairs, hitting the bottom step, letting out an intense scream of pain, as John came bolting down the stairs behind her! John let out a scream for their moms as loud as he could. Within seconds their moms were there at the bottom of the steps, asking Josilynn what had happened. All Josilynn could get out was “my ankle! I can’t move it! It’s pain like I’ve never before felt in my life!” Josilynn’s mom picked her up and carried her to the elevator, so she could get her lying down, elevate her foot, and get ice on it. The whole way up stairs Josilynn cried and cried, as soon as her mom set her down on the bed, John’s mom tried to touch it, to see if touching it hurt, it obviously did, because she let out a long caterwaul of pain! Both moms decided it best to take her to the nearest hospital to get some x-rays of her ankle, just to know for sure if anything was broken. After the x-rays, the doctor came in and said she broke 3 bones in her foot and needed a cast immediately, and could not put any pressure on it for at least six weeks maybe more. Josilynn started to cry, this meant her whole vacation was ruined! How was she supposed to go to the water park? She felt like she not only ruined her vacation, but that she ruined Johns too. But John grabbed her hand and said “it will be okay, there are so many different things we can do, and we’ll still have the best vacation ever, even if you broke a few bones. Now we can call this vacation an adventure! And we’ll have a story to tell everyone back home, right?” Josilynn nodded and said “John, you’re like the greatest best friend any girl could ever ask for! What would I do without you?” John smiled and said “umm, you would sit around bored all day?” They both laughed, and the doctor walked in the room, to cast her foot. The doctor told Josilynn that he was going to have to work fast in order for the cast not to dry before he put the covering over it, but while it was drying that it would get very hot, and might burn a little. Josilynn got a scared look on her face as she looked over at John, he came over and said “Give me your hand, if it starts to burn or hurt, and you want to move, squeeze my hand instead okay?” She nodded and did as she was told! The burning from the cast only lasted about 2 minutes, which was nothing like she thought it was going to be. After it was casted and they gave her crutches. They all headed back to the hotel, once back there John asked if he could be the very first one to sign her cast; of course she okayed it and he wrote “Josilynn, get better super fast! Let’s just say this week is going to be an even bigger adventure than I thought it was going to be in the first place! Love you like a brother, John!” She read it smiled and then said goodnight to everyone and feel asleep. The rest of that week was spent, shopping in the mall, playing card games in the hotel room, sitting in the middle of a garden singing at the top of their lungs, they even carved “Josilynn and John best friends forever and ever” on the side of one of the beds in their room. Of course they did not tell their moms because, they figured carving in the wood of the beds was quite frowned upon, but they did not care! They were making memories and that’s all that mattered to them at that moment.
John could not have been a better friend all summer while Josilynn was hurt, every morning he went over to her house to take care of her while her mom was working and her dad was in India. This was the very first summer that Josilynn and her mom did not go to India with the rest of her family. Josilynn had to choose between going to India with her family for the summer or go to Noah’s Ark with John and their moms. But she was very glad she made the decision to stay, she thought that was best, even though she ended up hurting herself, and their vacation did not turn out to be everything she thought it was going to be, it was still such an amazing adventure and she had a blast!
There came a point in John and Josilynn’s friendship, where everything took a turn for the worse. Everything started to go wrong at Josilynn’s 15th birthday party, she deiced to invite Benjamin Salazar, and John did not like at all that she invited him, because according to John he was a very bad influence! Josilynn did not know this guy very well, all she knew was she thought he was adorable; he was captain of the football team. What she did not know was that, he was making some very bad decisions in life; he was skipping school and smoking. Things Josilynn was raised to know were wrong and not to do. But she did not care to listen to John when he told her he was a bad influence and she should not be hanging out with him. So Josilynn stopped hanging out with John and started hanging out with Benjamin. She did not speak to John or hang out with John for 13 months; all she did was hang out with Benjamin and his friends. She soon caught on to the fact that Benjamin and his friends were truly bad influences in her life, and that John had been totally right about that. She decided she had to go talk to John, he was right, why did she not listen to him, she had forgotten about their pact they made when they were eleven! How could she forget she asked herself over and over again while walking home from school? As soon as she got home, she ran to her room, threw her backpack on her bed, grabbed a snack from the fridge and ran over to John’s house! John’s mother answered the door, and called for John to come to the door. He got to the door and at first was no happy to see her, but let her speak. She asked him if they could go talk in her tree fort that they used to play in all the time. They walked over to the tree fort together and climbed up the ladder, which seemed smaller than it used to. They sat up there and she explained everything, he forgave her, because that’s what a true friend does. For the next 5 hours they sat in the tree fort, just talking and making up for the time they did not speak, let me tell you 13 months makes for a lot to catch up on! They talked about literally everything, what they did, over the summer, how the school year was going and everything else. Josilynn told him about her summer trip to India, which was the most excellent trip, out of all 10 times she fully remembers! She told him everything she knew about India and the people she meet there. He soon started to fall in love with India, and he had never even been there.
The next day after school got out, John and Josilynn went to talk to Josilynn’s parents’ to see if he could go to India with her and her family that coming summer, Josilynn’s parents thought it was a wonderful idea and said that they would bring it up to his parents Saturday night at dinner. His parent’s were thrilled with the idea, they loved that they even thought of the idea and were now inviting him! When Josilynn and John were informed that he was able to go, they were totally enthused beyond belief. At that moment, they decided never again to let anything get in between their friendship, because it was way too important to them.
For the rest of the year, John and Josilynn got to know each other better than they had before.

The strange girl
You see the girl every single day,
the one who is always wearing the biggest smile you've ever seen
The smile that never leaves her face,
she's the happiest of all your friends,
always seeming to have a perfect life,
never one thing seems wrong.
Did you ever stop and ask her how life really is?
Is that smile hiding so much pain?
Do you even really know her?
Do you know what she hides behind that smile?
What if you knew that her smile was a way to hide the tears? keep them all inside till she was alone?
If I told you, when she was alone, she cried, and prayed for a different ending, would you believe me?
Would you believe me, if i told you, the only people who really knew her were her family, and a few close friends?
That those close friends, were only close because they stepped out, took a chance to really get to know her
